Gut Instinct, Man.

Remember the old saying, "Go with your gut instinct"? The Buffet could use to heed that advice ... for 2 of the last 3 days, the Buffet has made the prognosticator's version of famous last words:

“From conference rankings (SWAC: 31 and last; OVC: 22); to the potential dominance of Kenneth Faried, to common sense dictating that Morehead State ought to win this game” -- but then go on to pick Alabama State, who, with the help of Chief Kickingstiff and his 0 points and 2 rebounds, were wiped out 58-43.

And, everyone remembers this gem, “in the Buffet's eyes, Arizona belongs in this field” then proceeded to leave them out of the final Buffetology.

Time to weigh-in in the comments section, which teams seeded 12 or above are most likely to pull the upset?

Western Kentucky against an inconsistent Illinois team is the one that stands out to me. They challenged themselves in non-conference and actually beat Louisville on a neutral site. Dangerous team.

North Dakota State against Kansas could be interesting. Some Davidson potential there.

I also forgot Steve Avillo's favorite team, the pride of Mad City, against Florida State.

Well, I'm sure 'Nova's getting something of a bump from the gamblers for playing up to two games on what is essentially their home court, but I like the fact that American is back for the second year in a row and has a ton of seniors on their team.

I also think Cleveland State has a chance, if only because they're playing a Wake Forest team that made Maryland look pretty good last week.
